Welcome Our Newest Board Member

Blue Watch is excited to announce Mrs. Venita Wesley will be joining our Board of Directors. Mrs. Wesley is a native of Columbus, Ohio and a graduate of Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education. She is a retired educator from the Birmingham City Schools where she served over 30 years as a Family and Consumer Science Teacher.

 

Venita is very involved in community service. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the United Negro College Fund, Susan G. Komen of North Central Alabama, Tennessee State Alumni Association – Birmingham Chapter President plus many other charitable and civic organizations. She is an active member of the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where her husband, Dr. Michael Wesley serves as pastor. In her more than 30 years of membership at Greater Shiloh, she served in many roles some of which are Women’s Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Greeters Ministry and director of the Fellowship Team.
Her hobbies include reading and sewing and she is the proud mother to two sons and three grandchildren.
 

The 2019 Fall Leadership Conference is Almost Here!

Our 2nd Annual Leadership Conference is Tuesday, October 22. Please join us in praying for the Lord’s blessing on this event. This year’s conference is titledThe Power of Servant Leadership in Law Enforcement, How to Create Good People and a Great Environment.”

We have a tremendous lineup of speakers ready to address officers on theimportance of humility. We are anticipating close to 100 officers from acrossthe state, many of who will be attending one of our events for the first time.
